First Post From Latvia

I am not really sure that my mind is clear enough to type a good post, but I will do my best!

We left our house at 7:30 am yesterday and arrived in our apartment 23.5 hours later! All of our flights were on time, smooth, with no major events. Praise God! The good-bye to the girls was heartbreaking, as I knew it would be. But to see the look on Reagan's face when she realized we were really leaving, was so sad. I hope the time goes fast because right now I am missing them so much, I don't know how I will make it. I am very ready to have all 4 girls together so my heart isn't missing a piece!

Our apartment is nice and big. However, we don't have a plan about getting money exchanged so we can go get groceries (and toilet paper!). It is getting dark here and although we have a map, we are not very confident in ourselves to go be adventerous and explore our surroundings. Maybe tomorrow when we have had some sleep and it's not dark! There is lots of snow, the main roads were clear, but the rest of them looked like moon sand. We found 2 tv channels that speak English, but neither seemed like something I care to watch! But, I think Tim will watch anything!

The appliances are teeny tiny... I think the washing machine will hold one piece of clothing at a time! And there is no detergent, so we will have to get that, too. The fridge is the size of a small dorm room one. Hopefully we can find things that don't need to be refrigerated or baked (there is no oven).

Thanks to everyone for the prayers... so many have been answered already. For those of you who see my little girls, please give them extra hugs from me. Pray for the time to go quickly and for us to get to come home earlier than the 26th. Also keep praying for the big girls and their transition into our family. We are so anxious to see them the day after tomorrow! WOW!

We are so blessed...

  3. Hi you guys!! I'm so excited to read all about your adventures! I hope my post on FB about being safe wasn't offensive. I was robbed on a train in the Baltics so...uhh...I sort of like to warn people about that possibility.

Are you still allowing people to come to the airport to welcome you home? I understand if you're not. We look forward to seeing you all together and complete. :)

    Love you much!
    Mary (for ALL of us!)
