Baby Tiger

Since Kristen is not feeling well, I thought I would post something from today.

What a day today was! As bad as I felt from the pig jello, it turned out to be one of the best days ever. Everyone talks about how Kristen’s blog posts make them cry so I thought I would give it a try.

Agnese started working on a book last night. She called it her “Tiger Book”. She has been carrying around a stuffed animal tiger she said she got as a present for Christmas. She was also taking pictures of the tiger in different poses around the apartment. I thought it was just going to be a scrapbook about the tigers journey here in Riga.

Today when the social worker was here to visit with us and the girls, I told her to show them her Tiger Book. I knew how proud she was of the book and I wanted them to see what she had been up to. They read it and asked if I knew what the story was about. I told them I really didn’t know, that she was working on it last night and seemed to be very proud.

They then said the story goes something like this…

There was this baby tiger that lost her mom and was very sad and that she traveled around meeting some friends. But at the end of the story the baby tiger finds her dad and this makes her very happy.
My baby tiger found her dad! And I hope I can make her happy!

  3. Darn it Tim! I wore make-up today for the first time in weeks and you messed up my mascara!
That is such a sweet story! I'm glad you have this wonderful bonding time with them; you obviously have a close connection with the girls, which is awesome! They are very blessed to have a loving father and mother in their lives, as are R & R!
